When eSpeed ran out of computer room floor space the large area occupied by their 6000 series cluster was viewed by envious and unsympathetic eyes. Three 3U rack mounted Charon servers replaced the entire cluster, delivered faster applications and far better disaster recovery. Read more >
ProQuest Alison
ProQuest Alison’s business has at its heart VAX clusters. These systems have been highly tailored over the years to provide business solutions the company depends on to operate. When it came time to move to a new data centre, 5 rack mounted Charon systems were used to replace an entire computer room of VAX systems.
